Popular West Side Norman Neighborhoods

Springbrook, Prairie Creek & Cascade

Springbrook is an established west side Norman neighborhood that is close to I-35, but without much traffic noise. It’s really nice to have that convenience without the nusiance of the interstate sounds. Springbrook has a sweet little neighborhood park with slides, swings, walking trails, and large grassy areas for a picnic or family yard game. Most homes in Springbrook are available between $120,000 – $200,000. The boulevards with large trees and mature landscaping make it ideal for walks on nice days.

Prairie Creek, another west side Norman neighborhood that’s conveniently located near I-35 is on the east side of 36th. Like Springbrook, Prairie Creek’s mailboxes are located on the corners of the block, rather than individual boxes at each home. Again, you can’t beat the beautiful scenery the mature trees provide along the streets and in the park – this one includes a few additional features like drinking fountains, more playground equipment and picnic tables. The size of homes for Prairie Creek varies from 1,400 square feet to 2,400 square feet.

In Cascade, the newest of these three west side Norman neighborhoods, includes the HOA (homeowners association) for the pool they have available to the residents! Depending on the specific home and its size, you can find some that are under $200,000, but there are also some that reach up to $400,000.
