Flint Hills is a new neighborhood in Norman, OK conveniently located near the University of Oklahoma and downtown Norman. Living in Flint Hills, your commute to the city is about 23 minutes.
Flint Hills sits just north of Tecumseh between 24th and 12th Avenue NW. A couple other neighborhoods around Flint Hills are Red Canyon Ranch, Vintage Creek, Green Leaf Trails and Little River. Homes in Flint Hills started being built in 2023 and range in size between 1,200 – 2,100 square feet. Although these homes are all made by the same builder, there is some variation to the styles of the homes because of the different elevation plans that they offer, to include: farmhouse, traditional and modern looks.
The homes in Flint Hills are typically two or three stall garages, with at least three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are also some homes in the neighborhood that have four bedrooms. Because Flint Hills is a newer neighborhood, there is an HOA (homeowner’s association) which includes access to the future fishing pond, splash pad, soccer field, and playground! There are also some trails for you to enjoy with your furry friends or at your own leisure. Awesome, right?
With an “exceptional livability” score according to AreaVibes, with an A+ for amenities and an A+ for schools, Norman is a great place to live. Norman, is a moderately sized town with over 100,000 people and steadily growing. Because of the amenities, desirable schools, the easy commute options, and low cost of living, it is an attractive area for many home buyers.

There are several parks around the Flint Hills Community. George M Sutton Wilderness Park is the closest park to Flint Hills where you can spot lots of different wildlife on the trails or even go fishing! Ruby Grant Park is the newest park in the west side Norman area and it has a dog park, disc golfing, a playground, practice fields, and trails for walking or running throughout the 153 acre park.
Westwood Golf Course, one of Oklahoma’s premier public courses, is less than 15 minutes away. This 6,200-yard, 18-hole course was recently renovated and is perfect for both weekend or avid golfers. Lessons, memberships and junior programs are also available. Book a Tee Time.
Leaving Flint Hills, you have lots of shops nearby off of Robinson St & 24th Ave and then there’s also downtown Norman with tons of great restaurants, boutiques, breweries and bars. Watch our downtown Norman series for even more info!
Oklahoma City is about 15-25 minutes north of Flint Hills, depending on where you’re headed, specifically. Downtown OKC, otherwise known as Bricktown, has lots of nightlife, water taxi tours on the canal, and the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. You can attend an OKC Thunder game, visit the Myriad Botanical Gardens, or Scissortail Park.
